Forces Network, part of the Services Sound & Vision Corporation and British Forces Broadcasting Service brands, has a vacancy for two talented Digital Content Creators to join our team of reporters, multimedia producers and digital creatives covering the online arm of the corporation for our global audience of the British Armed Forces and wider military family.
We are looking for two motivated multimedia journalists / digital content producers who ‘think digital’ and who are bursting with creative content ideas, adept at telling stories through accurate and well-written copy, creating attention-grabbing video and bringing in impactful, visual, engaging content across a range of platforms to help us grow our digital audiences.
Our global reach, and our mission to entertain, inform, connect and champion the Armed Forces and military communities, means our content covers a rich and varied range of coverage around the world.
We are looking for self-starters who want to try their hand at a range of creative ways to tell stories on digital platforms, with a focus on our forces.net website, and who are keen to get involved in all aspects of digital publishing and engagement, from reporting and writing up stories, to creating video and podcasts, to sub-editing and curating copy to social media projects, live blogging updates, live social media broadcasts, sports coverage and more.
This is a junior role for candidates with an NCTJ qualification or equivalent professional journalism training. An interest in the military and the British Armed Forces would be an advantage, as too would some experience in a digital media environment.
