Social Media Coaches (12 Month Fixed term contract)

SSVC exist to provide the best possible broadcasting for the UK armed forces and their families. We have radio stations, news teams, events specialists and engineers all over the world working alongside our military. We also use social media to connect with and communicate to our audience.

Life can be hard for military spouses. They may have to move to another country at very short notice. They are often the ones looking after any children the family may have. These things make it hard to keep a job let alone develop a career.

We believe we can help fix that. We have been awarded funding to deliver a completely new social media training program that will help get military spouses into digital roles. These are creative, in demand, and can often be done remotely which suits life as a military spouse. The programme itself will be delivered remotely too.

We need someone to join our team of coaches to help plan and deliver this training programme.

  • You will be creative, organised, and social media savvy to provide coaching and training on social media.
  • You’ll have experience in managing and growing large social media audiences ideally for a media organisation.
  • You’ll understand community moderation, be up to date on the latest social media trends, and also love coming up with creative ideas to help get our audience talking.

Your top priorities will be making sure our training students are well supported and our social media profiles are producing excellent content.

We’d be especially keen to hear from you if you have experience living and/or working in the military community.

You must be to be willing to undergo security clearance if necessary.

This is a full-time role, based from home.

As part of your application please create a social media campaign or content idea. You should submit this in the form of a creative brief document. Please email this together with your CV and covering letter which explains how you meet the criteria for the role to opportunities@ssvc.com.

Due to the level of volume we are anticipating for this role, regretfully we will not be able to respond to those candidates not invited to attend interview.

Closing date: Monday 11th February 2019

We reserve the right to conduct interviews and close applications prior to this date.

We’d be especially keen to hear from you if you have experience living and/or working in the military community.

You must be to be willing to undergo security clearance if necessary.
